As we step into the new year, we’re excited to share some of the most significant developments happening at Cornerstone. 2025 promises to be a pivotal year for us, as Cornerstone is focused on key enhancements in the evolving travel, expense management, and enterprise automation spaces. Our CEO, Mat Orrego, has outlined our ambitious plans for the year ahead, focusing on two main areas: strengthening our core products and preparing for the future through innovation.
From launching updated versions of our flagship platforms—IQCX, iBank, and ApexConnect—to introducing the Cornerstone Hub, we are dedicated to delivering a seamless and modern user experience. Our commitment to data management, AI-powered insights, and security will empower our customers to make smarter decisions and drive automation like never before.
Hey everyone, Mat Orrego here, CEO of Cornerstone Information Systems. I appreciate the opportunity to share our plans for the upcoming year with you. 2025 is going to be a pivotal year for us. The world of travel, expense management, and enterprise automation is rapidly changing and we’re evolving alongside it.
This year, we’re focused on two key areas, strengthening our foundation by enhancing our core products and their user experience, as well as transforming for the future by driving innovation and new opportunities for ourselves and for our customers.
In 2025, we will launch new versions of our travel reservation, expense management, mid-office, and reporting and analytics solutions. This signifies the modernization of our IQCX, iBank, ApexConnect platforms, and the many products that you’ve grown to depend on, as our policy compliance manager, ticket tracking, schedule change management, as well as our Apex expense and integration data solutions.
Over the past years, we’ve been working hard to connect modern distribution platforms brought on by our airline partners and their new distribution strategies. As these solutions evolve, we were making it easier to manage bookings no matter where they originate, GDS or through direct channels. The goal is to enable near real-time processing of today’s modern, omni-channel environments while improving customers’ ability to better serve any reservation.
For the travel buyer, we’re focused on delivering insights that only a connected enterprise can uniquely propose.
We have been busy integrating and automating expense, human capital management systems, ERP platforms for more than 400 customers. This now allows us to provide reporting and analytics across a wider spectrum of enterprise data. We will start by introducing a new user experience allowing our customers to access and manage their Cornerstone technology and functionality from a single user interface. We’re calling this the Cornerstone Hub. It will allow customers and their customers secure modern cloud-based access to reporting and analytics while providing a rich environment for automating workflows, report creation, and delivery.
At the core of our next generation technology is Upstream, a platform that modernizes our data management capabilities by enhancing our data acquisition, transformation, and integration across all our products and platforms. Upstream enables seamless connectivity with modern analytics, AI, cloud-based ecosystems empowering customers to automate data services, improve data quality, and drive smarter decision-making across their travel and expense operations.
As excited as we are about our new technology offerings, we recognize that many of our customers rely on their current Cornerstone products to run their business, and nobody likes the word migration. So our plans emphasize operating in parallel. With your existing cornerstone systems while continuing to deliver those reliable services you expect as we launch our new offerings.
We’re strengthening our team expertise by expanding our implementation, account management, customer success resources to accelerate onboarding and the improvement of issue resolution. Over the past 24 months, we’ve grown our engineering and product teams bringing top talent to modernize our technology and ensure seamless transitions for both our current and future customers. This next year, we’re enhancing our partnership strategy by introducing dedicated partner management roles to strengthen our relationships with GDS suppliers, Expense, ERP, and other technology companies.
One of the main areas of collaboration has been around our information security practices at Cornerstone. Security is not just a requirement, it is a competitive advantage today. This year, we’re advancing to our next level of FedRAMP certification, building on our SOC 2 compliance, and building out our InfoSec team to help all of us remain compliant and secure. I’m incredibly excited about where we’re headed, upgrading our core products like iBank and IQCX and launching our next generation of data platforms.
I want to thank our team for the dedication that drives our success and most importantly, thank you, our customer for the trust you have in Cornerstone. Together, we’re shaping the future of travel and expense enterprise automation.
Let’s make 2025 an incredible year. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Mat Orrego
