TicketTRAK Updates

There have been a number of important updates to the treatment of airline tickets in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. As such, Cornerstone’s TicketTRAK platform has been updated to reflect that. Read on for a full changelog to see what is new:

Important TicketTRAK Notifications:

  • Since some Air Carriers have begun to “extend the life” of an E-Ticket so that they can be used for Exchange up to two years from the date of issue, TicketTRAK has been reconfigured to set the expiration date of an E-Ticket to two years from the date of issue. Previously, this expiration was set to one year instead of two.
  • Clients may notice a spike in their GDS hits during the month of August due to a “re-check” of all E-tickets currently in TicketTRAK that were flagged as “EXPIRED” from March 1st, 2020.
  • This “re-check” would result from the TicketTRAK database rechecking all tickets that would previously have been classified as “EXPIRED” under old Air Carrier policies. We would be targeting any E-Ticket issued on or after March 1st,2019 per most airlines’ policy window.
  • We have also listened to several of our clients regarding accommodating the change in Air Carrier Policy. We have been able to address these issues. Even though some may be charged for an increase in GDS hits, the value that would be received from the “re-opening” of E-Tickets should easily negate those costs.
